Other Events

Seminar: Back by popular demand is the educational seminar on the Construction Lien Act this Thursday, November 27 at the Toronto Construction Association from 9 am to 12 noon. Michael Swartz, Partner at WeirFoulds LLP, will review the purpose, timing, limitations and holdback of liens; trusts (how they differ from liens); personal liability; and breaches of trust. This is also the last opportunity this year to attend an AWMAC event and have your $200 participation fee refunded. Click here for more information.

Note: members can pick up their copy of the new AWS Manual Edition 2 at the seminar.

Plant Tour: AWMAC members were invited to Brenlo Limited in Mississauga on November 19th for a plant tour and despite the storm, there was a good turnout. The group enjoyed a great evening, inspected the equipment from the ripping line to the waste recovery system that produces fuel pucks for heating green houses, explored the more than 80,000 square foot facility and enjoyed a cocktail reception. Watch for future events to join your fellow AWMAC members for more networking and learning. Suppliers, designers, architects and manufacturers are all invited.
