AWMAC Ontario Apprenticeship Contest - March 24, 2018:

All AMWAC Members are welcome to join us and support the newest woodworking students during this one day cabinet making contest!!
This year we once again have a full ten (10) contestants signed up!! It will be a great day and AWMAC Ontario wishes all the contestants the best of luck!!!
AWMAC National AGM - Thursday May 31 – Saturday June 2, 2018:

AWMAC Ontario AGM & Awards Dinner - Thursday February 22nd, 2018:
Oakdale Golf & Country Club, 2388 Jane Street, Toronto
After a very positive and informative AGM, there was a Cocktail Reception, followed by the Annual Awards Dinner.
The Awards Dinner is always a great event where our Manufacturing Members showcase the various projects they have completed over the past year. And this year the projects were amazing!!! The judges had a hard time making final decisions!

IIDEX Canada 2017:
IIDEXCanada was held on November 29th and 30th, 2017 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, and as always, was very well attended by architects, designers and all those who manage the construction of commercial, residential and industrial projects.
AWMAC Ontario had the pleasure of meeting many new people within the A&D Community and look forward to speaking with them again soon about AWMAC’s newest Quality Standards and how they can incorporate them into their specifications!!
Thank you to all those who helped at the booth, especially Peter Gallagher, Ontario Chapter President, who was there both days, from morning til evening!! We were pleased to see so many AWMAC members at IIDEX, thanks for stopping in for a quick visit!!

WMS Expo, 2017:
WMS Expo is a manufacturers show where new machinery, tools, technologies, materials and other woodwork industry relevant items are showcased. This year it was at the International Centre, Mississauga from Thursday November 2nd to Saturday November 4th, 2017 and Michelle Morrell from AWMAC National was in town to help out at the booth and introduce herself to many Ontario members.
AWMAC was honoured to participate in the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the start of the show, with Michelle Morrell the AWMAC National Association Manager and Peter Gallagher the President of AWMAC Ontario Chapter representing AWMAC!
Nick Anastas of Archmill House and the GIS Director gave an extremely informative presentation about the differences between AWS 2.0 and NAAWS 3.1 which will soon be available as a webinar through AWMAC.
During the WMS Expo, AWMAC connected with many woodworkers and gave them information regarding our Quality Standards.
